Monte delle Vigne
Wine for passion on Parma hills
Fra Salimbene, in his medieval chronicles, called them "Li monti de le vigne".
Gentle hills, layed on the right bank of the Taro river, raising up to three hundred meters high, to grant grapes exposed on different sides the privilege of a homogeneous and full ripening. "Monte delle Vigne" was born here, and it has been natural; seven hectares planted with passion, in the early 70's. It has been our passion, together with love for this land making our dreams come true, here. Today the hectares are sixty; on the west side Barbera and Bonarda, red autochthonous known for their expressivity, on the east side Malvasia, white grape expressing a peculiar and fine aromaticity. In the centre of the vineyard Merlot, Chardonnay and Lambrusco, and with them the new vinery, designed to get the best qualitative result from what Nature is offering us. Territory, passion, innovation, the starting point of an enthusiastic way: the rewrite of a page belonging to the wine-growing history of the Parmesan territory.
